Hi, I’m Miia Savage. Welcome to Dance Pointe! Dance Pointe studios have been under my care and ownership since 2012. My mission is to offer an inspiring and safe environment where dancers can learn correct dance technique and become confident performers. Whether it’s dancing just for fun, wanting to excel in dance examinations or having aspirations of a professional dance career, myself and our wonderful Dance Pointe staff are here to support and guide you.
Dance has been a big part of my life for well over 30 years now. I was swaying, swirling and jumping to the music as soon as I could stand. Growing up in Finland, I studied Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary dance. After graduating as a professional dancer and performing in musicals as well as dance productions, I moved to London to study Master’s Degree in Dance. I have also concluded a year of teacher studies in Finland and dance teacher studies in UK with International Dance Teachers Association. For five years I danced, choreographed and taught dance in busy and inspiring London before moving to Australia in 2007. I’m so excited to share the joy of dance with you at Dance Pointe!
